Dr. John FernandesStanley E. Grogg, D.O., FACOP, FAAP
Interim President, OSU Center for Health Sciences
Interim Dean, College of Osteopathic Medicine
Professor of Pediatrics

Dr. Grogg is a 1971 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo. He is a tenured professor of Pediatrics, and is active in pediatric research and osteopathic medical education. He has served as Chief of Staff at OSU Medical Center and chair of its Department of Pediatrics. In addition, Dr. Grogg has been medical director of the Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma and OSU-CHS medical director for clinical research.

He participates in numerous local, state and national civic and medical organizations, particularly those relating to child health. In 2008, the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians named him Pediatrician of the Year. He also received the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association’s Physician of the Year award in 2006, the OSU-CHS Big 12 Research Fellowship, in 2008 and the OSU-CHS Regents Distinguished Teaching Award for Clinical Research in 2009.

An avid traveler, Dr. Grogg has visited 136 countries. He is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and helped establish the OSU-CHS International Medicine Club. Dr. Grogg and his wife, Barbara, a registered nurse practitioner who is certified in travel medicine, often host international students. He enjoys reading, teaching, and volunteering both locally and on medical mission trips.
