Needed immediately to replace a General Surgeon who is leaving. This is a fabulous opportunity for the surgeon who would like the opportunity to stay busy and keep their skills sharp while enjoying the wonderful location not far from Salt Lake City and allof the outdoor recreation it has to offer. Ideal candidate would be one who is experienced and self directed with awide rangeof procedures that he can offer. Candidate needs to be able to do basic gut work, but can also do some trauma, thoracic, colo-rectal, plastics, etc if wanted. The ability and willingness to do scopes is an important part of the qualification for this position. Because of the coming retirement of the senior FP in town, my client, the hospital owned primary care group, is looking for a new Family Practice Physician. Outgoing FP has been here for 30 years. There is a large volume of work available. Outgoing FP is seeing 25-30 patients a day and does very well financially. This will be a salaried hospital employed position ($200K) with full benefits package, relocation ($10K), signing bonus, (Negotiable) etc. The group's building is just one block from the hospital. It is nice and has 12 exam rooms and is well equipped. The group has 3 physicians and 1 PA now. We do have the MSO to support them from a practice management standpoint. Candidate will do outpatient only except for peds and newborn rotation. Peds and newborn and office call is 1 in 3. Office hours are just standard business hour Mon-Fri. Candidate also has ½ day for an admin day per week. Candidate can do OB and C-Sections if they would like, or no OB, or a hybrid model of just well visits and then turn over to OB's for the deliveries if they would like. If candidate would like to do full OB then the call is 1:4. No scope procedures can be done however by the FP. 2012 candidate is acceptable too but no 13's at this point. A new resident, fellow, or mid career FP is a good fit. No FMG's or Visa Candidates., B/C, MD, or DO. B/E if they are just coming out of school or recently out. Currently seeking a Staff Physician (General Practice). Specific duties will involve all aspects of health care delivery in accordance with accepted medical practice and procedures. The staff physician will respond to emergencies and renders emergency medical/surgical services as required and may be called upon to treat severe trauma cases. They will work closely with the Clinical Director and consultants on difficult cases. They will monitor chronic care patients, prescribe medications, and provide patient education. The FTC is an Administrative facility with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and receives both male and female offenders. The primary mission of the FTC is receiving and transferring federal offenders to various correctional facilities, jails, and courts throughout the country. The FTC houses an in-transit prisoner population of approximately 1500 inmates. In, addition, approximately 212 inmates are permanently assigned to the FTC for work details.
