Overview
Probation and Dismissal
All courses are graded A, B, C, or U on a 4.0 scale. The student must maintain a 3.0 average and may lose stipend support if the GPA falls below 3.0. Probation may be recommended following an evaluation of a student’s progress by the BSGC. Further program restrictions may be implemented to assist the student in completing his/her graduate program.
The student will be expected to return to a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher by the end of the semester subsequent to that in which the GPA fell below 3.0. Failure to do so is cause for probation or dismissal.
The advisory committee will review each case of
probation or dismissal and the BSGC and the
recommendation forwarded to the Dean of the
Graduate College. Students must also meet the
minimum requirements of the Graduate College as
specified in the University Catalog.
