Entrance Requirements
Each application is considered individually on its own merit and all available information will be taken into account.
The requirements for each type of applicant are listed below.
Prospective Student Applicants
- Baccalaureate degree
- Successful completion of
- General Biology
- General Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Physics Undergraduate Courses
- Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score of at least 150 on both the verbal and the quantitative sections, and a writing score of at least 4.0.
International Student Applicants
- A test of English as a Foreign language (TOEFL) score of at least 550 (paper based), or 79 (internet based) for whom English is a second language
- Alternatively, an official International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 will satisfy the English proficiency requirements for admission to a graduate program.
- Either examination must have been taken within the last two years

D.O./M.S., D.O./Ph.D. Student Applicants
With approval of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Committee (BSGC), a student may be allowed to make up deficiencies during the course of graduate study.
