osteopathic Students

We are a professional medical college offering the following degrees:

  • D.O.
    Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • D.O./M.B.A.
    Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine/Master of Business Administration
  • D.O./Ph.D.
    Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine/Doctor of Philosophy

Our curriculum is student-centered with focus on hands-on experience, problem-based and small group learning. Students receive training in all areas of medicine, with additional emphasis on osteopathic manipulation.

The first two years of medical school focus on the basic sciences and the last two years on the clinical sciences. Students are exposed to a wide-variety of clinical experience with rotations available across the state.

We also offer graduate programs in Biomedical Sciences and Forensic Sciences.

Our Graduates
The College has graduated 2,240 physicians. About two-thirds are in primary care. The remaining one-third of our DOs practice in a range of specialties, from dermatology to neurology, surgery to psychiatry, anesthesiology to gastroenterology.

Our History

  • Founded by the state legislature in 1972 to provide primary care physicians to small towns and rural areas of Oklahoma
  • Merged with Oklahoma State University in 1988
  • One of five campuses in the OSU system
  • Located on the banks of the Arkansas River near downtown Tulsa
