Responsibilities & Duties

My responsibilities as chairman of the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology encompasses:

  1. The overall fiscal management of the department. This includes budget management (operations and research), personnel actions (hiring, salary, and promotion and tenure recommendations), research and teaching program oversight, and long range planning.
  2. The preparation of the annual department report to the Associate Dean for Basic Sciences and Graduate Programs.
  3. Other responsibilities including oversight of the donor program, management of teaching and research laboratories, and the department inventory.
