Course of Study
First Year
- Skills training in palpatory diagnosis, applied anatomy and physiology, soft tissue, articulation, muscle energy and counterstrain
- Emphasis on competency based testing, not just written exams
- Still techniques
Second Year
- Skills training in HV/LA, myofascial, cranial, postural balancing and review skills from the first year
- OMM in visceral disease for Pulmonary, GI, CV, GU, OB/GYN, ENT, Pediatrics and Surgery
- Ten most common Musculoskeletal presentations
- Continued competency-based training

Third Year - One month clinical rotation
Three weeks at OSU Health Care Center
- Review of basic OMM Techniques
- Examine and treat outpatients under physician supervision
- Emphasis on efficiency
- Accept referrals from the community
- Outpatient medical charting of OMM
- Coding and billing for optimal reimbursement
- Competency-based and written exam
One week at OSU Medical Center
- Review OMM for visceral problems and complications found in the hospital setting
- Review OMM techniques as they apply to the bedfast patient
- Examine and treat patients (under supervision) emphasizing efficiency
- Inpatient medical charting of OMM
- Coding and billing for optimal reimbursement
- Competency-based and written exam
Fourth Year
