2003: Primary investigator and author of a study to determine the therapeutic effects of Osteopathic Manual Medicine on Pediatric Asthma Patients. This Study has been submitted to the IRB and returned with
recommendations. I am currently working with Dr Benjamin to incorporate his variability technology into this study for research.
2004 – present: Participating in ongoing research of Morgellons Disease which involves direct medical evaluation and treatment of patients, microscopic examination and evaluation of findings, forensic and laboratory testing. This work is in conjunction with Randy Wymore, PhD, and has included the Tulsa Police Department Forensics team. I authored a case definition of Morgellons Disease in 2006. In 2007 a Center for the Investigation of Morgellons Disease was designated as one of the Centers for Excellence. I was designated as the Lead Clinical Investigator for the center. The efforts of our research team contributed to the inclusion of Morgellons as entry number 4396 in the National Institute of Health’s Rare Disease list.
