Admissions

OSU-CHS offers a joint Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine/Master's of Business Administration degree with the William S. Spears School of Business. Most classes are held at the OSU-Tulsa campus, with an occasional course at the OSU-Stillwater campus. This is a 2-1-2 or 4-1 program.

Application Procedures
All applicants must submit the following:

  • Official MCAT Score
  • Official, original transcripts of all prior coursework including the COM
  • D.O./M.B.A. Application
  • Statement of Objectives
  • 3 Recommendations Forms
  • Graduate College Application ($25 application fee)
  • Resume

Application Deadlines
To receive full consideration for admission, all application materials must be submitted prior to the deadline. Applications received after these deadlines run the risk of the applicant NOT being accepted for the chosen semester.

  • Admission Semester: Fall
  • Applications Accepted - Deadline: September 1 - March 1
  • Fall Semester Begins: Mid-August

Applications will only be accepted by MS III and MS IV students in good academic standing. Students on Academic Probation will not be allowed to enter the program. The application review process begins upon receipt of the application package. You are urged to submit your completed application package as early as possible. Applications are reviewed for admission once all required documentation has been received.

A D.O./M.B.A. application is valid for one year from date of submission.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees are approved by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and are subject to change only after public notice has been given at least 120 days prior to the effective date.

Scholarships
DO/MBA Scholarships were established in 2004 by Stillwater National Bank, through the William S. Spears School of Business, to provide scholarship assistant to osteopathic medical students enrolling in the joint D.O./M.B.A. program. Apply for scholarship now.

Study Group
A voluntary D.O./M.B.A. study group will be formed each year, comprised of current M.B.A. students. The purpose of the group is to keep the M.B.A. students current in their medical studies and information, providing support and consultation during their year of business studies. The group will formally meet one afternoon per month on Mondays from 3-5 p.m., or more frequently as the students indicate.

Additional Support and Services

  • Plan of study prepared by Clinical Education and Pathology (i.e. reading material, outlines, topics, clinical cases, etc.). Materials to be given to students enrolled in the joint program only.
  • Support and consultation during monthly meetings from administration and faculty, including practicing D.O./M.B.A. physicians within the community.
  • Continued access to CHS faculty and library resources.
  • Option to walk with the M.B.A. graduation, but will receive both degrees at the D.O. graduation.
  • Part I Boards and BLS/ACLS taken the summer prior to M.B.A. coursework (fall).
  • Participate in the Lottery/Clerkship Selection in the fall with their new class (coordinated by Clinical Education).
