We offer the opportunity for near graduate students to focus on comprehensive nursing in a variety of fields utilizing our clinical settings.
Education
Although OSU does not provide a nursing program, we offer students currently enrolled in medical assisting and registered/ licensed practical nurse programs on-site (non paid) work experience.
The internship program is similar to employment by introducing the student to a realistic clinical setting while offering hands-on learning experiences. The student is monitored closely by his or her affiliated school and the nurse preceptor in the areas of professionalism, attitude, and attendance.
Our program includes a detailed schedule with a preceptor assignment based on the student nurse preference of clinical settings.
To participate in our nurse extern program, please contact your program’s student advisor/coordinator for placement.
