Pediatrics Residency
Program Description
This three-year program is designed to qualify the resident to sit for the board examination in osteopathic pediatrics. Completion of this program allows those interested in a fellowship to continue with further training. All areas of pediatrics including general, cardiology, neurology, neonatology, and gastroenterology are included in the curriculum. Emphasis on outpatient and ambulatory care is significant and elective rotations in subspecialty areas are available.
The newborn nurseries serve over 1,500 babies each year, and the didactic program includes case review conferences, special lectures and journal club.
