Residency Program Curriculum, Call and Continuity
The Family Medicine program features a formal curriculum that emphasizes the development of osteopathic family medicine competencies. Ambulatory care and comprehensive family medical services are stressed. A substantial portion of the resident's time is spent at the OSU Health Care Center learning ambulatory care by interacting with patients, their families, faculty, and clinic staff.
Each resident is afforded the opportunity to extend his or her knowledge and skills to all areas of primary care through electives. The residency program offers a well-rounded, quality training program in Family Medicine and is designed to prepare each resident for a successful career in Family Practice.
Residents perform rotations in a number of medical specialities including:
- Internal Medicine
- General Surgery
