Residency Overview

We understand that the decision of where to complete residency has implications well past the 3 years you are with us.  We take your academic, professional and personal successes very seriously and have created a learning environment that we believe is second to none.

Our primary teaching services are housed at the Oklahoma State University Medical Center in downtown Tulsa.  OSUMC is the nations largest osteopathic teaching hospital and is the primary teaching hospital for the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences.  It acts as a tertiary care center regionally and is licensed for 199 beds.  Including Internal Medicine, there are 12 residencies housed at OSUMC, including General Surgery, Radiology, Emergency Medicine and Ear Nose and Throat, to name a few.  Our residents also rotate through the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, during each of their 3 years.

The Internal Medicine program has been a leader at OSUMC in transitioning to ACGME and are currently in the initial accreditation phase
