M. Shrum, D.O., ’98, joins Oklahoma State University
as an assistant professor of pediatrics. She is a graduate of the
College of Osteopathic Medicine at OSU and completed her internship
and residency training at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. The Oklahoma
Osteopathic Association recently honored her with its “Rookie
Physician of the Year” award. Shrum is active in the American
College of Osteopathic Pediatricians and the American Medical Women’s
Association. |
William
J. Pettit, D.O., assistant professor of family medicine,
joins Oklahoma State University as medical director of its clinic
system. He was in private practice in Lawton, Oklahoma, and is board
certified in family practice. Pettit is a graduate of the University
of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines,Iowa.His
post-graduate training was done at the Womack Army Hospital in Fort
Bragg North Carolina. Pettit is the former medical director of the
Center for Occupational Health and the AM & PM Clinic in Lawton. |
Kenneth
E. Miller, Ph.D., associate professor of anatomy and cell
biology, received his doctorate from the University of Vermont College
of Medicine and his post-doctoral training from the University of
Minnesota in Minneapolis. Miller previously was on faculty at the
University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He
is widely published and serves as a guest referee for several peer-
reviewed journals. Miller is the former president of the Oklahoma
chapter of the Society for Neuroscience. |
