Oklahoma State Regents convene at OSU Center for Health Sciences
Tulsa, Okla. - The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education held their spring retreat and monthly meeting at the OSU Center for Health Sciences on March 14 and 15.

State Regents listen to fiscal presentation
At their spring retreat on March 14, the State Regents covered several topics and programs to provide focus for their initiatives and priorities.

Dr. Phil Moss, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, reports on programs to the State Regents.
At their regular meeting on March 15, the State Regents convened to discuss and approve several agenda items including approval of new degree programs at East Central University, Northeastern University and Rogers State University and changes to existing degree programs at OSU-Oklahoma City, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma City Community College. In addition, other agenda items covered included fiscal allocations for various programs and reports from standing committees.

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education is the coordinating board of control for all institutions in the State System of Higher Education. The State Regents prescribe academic standards of higher education, determine functions and courses of study at state colleges and universities, grant degrees, recommend to the state Legislature budget allocations for each college and university, and recommend proposed fees within limits set by the Legislature.
