SNMA presents health fair for Eugene Field families

(April 13, 2009   Tulsa, OK) - The Student National Medical Association at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine presents “Growing Up Health is Growing Up Strong,” an annual health fair for Eugene Field Elementary School families and the surrounding neighborhood, from 3-7 p.m. Friday, April 17.

The fair is at the school, 2249 S. Phoenix Ave. in Tulsa. Vision screenings, glucose checks and blood pressure monitoring will be available, along with family activities, games and door prizes. OSU physicians and student doctors present the fair annually.

SNMA is one of the nation’s oldest and largest organizations with more than 30 years of service to under-served communities. Membership includes nearly 5,000 pre-medical students, medical students, residents and licensed physicians. Local chapters at medical schools throughout the nation implement SNMA programs and activities.
