OSU Osteopathic Scrub Run April 23 benefits transplant donor service

TULSA, Okla. – The 31st annual Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Osteopathic Scrub Run is Saturday, April 23, at the College campus at 17th Street and Southwest Boulevard.

The annual event is sponsored by the OSU Student Osteopathic Medicine Association and includes a one-mile fun run, a 5-kilometer race and a 10-kilometer race. The Lo Detrich Honorary 5K begins at 8 a.m., the Colby Cassani and Brayden Jueschke Gift of Life 10K is at 9:15 a.m., and the William Ferry Memorial 1-mile Fun Run starts at 9:20 a.m.

Race proceeds benefit LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma. April is national Donate Life Month, highlighting the need for organ donations in Oklahoma.


Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa offers programs in osteopathic medicine, biomedical sciences and forensic sciences. Since its beginnings more than 30 years ago, OSU-CHS has grown to offer eight graduate degrees. On-campus programs, distance learning and OSU partnerships train osteopathic physicians, research scientists and health care professionals with an emphasis on serving rural and under-served Oklahoma.
