Graduate and Certificate Enrollment Procedure
Class lists and enrollment forms become available by November 1 for the upcoming spring and summer semesters and by March 15 for the following fall semester.
- Newly admitted students receive directions for enrollment along with a list of available classes after admission to the Graduate Program in Forensic Sciences.
- Currently enrolled students have access to enrollment forms and class lists via the Forensics Student Lounge in the OSU Online Classroom.
- Graduate students at other OSU campuses must file an Application for Special Graduate Enrollment and also must have the advisor sign the enrollment form to indicate permission to take the course.
Non-Program or Special Enrollment
Individuals not pursuing the graduate degree or certificate may enroll under the following conditions:
- The class has openings not needed by graduate or certificate students.
- The Application for Special Graduate Admission and application fee are submitted.
- Transcripts are supplied from all colleges or universities attended.
- Registration is allowed on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date the Application for Special Graduate Admission and fee are received.
- Any course prerequisites have been met.
To inquire about the availability of a course before submitting an application, call 918-561-1108 or 1-800-677-1972, Ext. 11108. The Program Coordinator is usually aware of the class openings for non-program students well in advance of the semester.
Enrollment Forms and Course Lists
Opening dates for registration are given below. After enrollment opens, the list of semester offerings and the enrollment forms are available through the Program office. Request these by e-mail at forensic@okstate.edu, or call 918-561-1145 or 1-800-677-1972, Extension 11145.
- Fall enrollment information is available March 15
- Spring enrollment information is available November 1
- Summer enrollment information is available November 1

International Applicants
Relocation
Master’s students in the research program may complete the first two semesters through online courses but should count on moving to campus afterward for research and laboratory courses. Because the M.S./Forensic Science Administration, M.S./Forensic Document Examination, and Graduate Certificate programs are available entirely through online courses, participation in these programs requires no relocation to the Tulsa area.
