Education for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners

The School of Forensic Sciences, in cooperation with the Tulsa Police Department, offers an online course for registered nurses interested in becoming Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners. A two-day clinical session is optional for no extra charge. Kathy Bell, Forensic Nursing Administrator with the Tulsa Police Department, serves as the instructor. Intimate Partner Violence Examiner Course for Registered Nurses

An online course on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is now being taught by Kathy Bell, Forensic Nursing Administrator for the Tulsa Police Department. The course is made possible by Rural Grant 2011-WR-AX-0026 through the Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice, with TPD and the OSU School of Forensic Sciences also providing support. 

For the first 30 registrants who qualify, registration is free.  For details about qualifications, the course itself, and registration call 918-561-1108 or e-mail inquiries to forensic@okstate.edu.
