If you or another participant is not
located within driving distance of our laboratory, we can assist you in
locating a collection site that will collect
the specimen(s) and forward them to
us. A chain of custody is maintained at
all times.
*Parentage test
The parentage test fee is assessed regardless of whether or not the known parent is tested. We strongly encourage that the known parent participate in the test; no additional laboratory fees are incurred to include this parent in the test.
**Prenatal parentage test
The mother will need to consult an OBGYN about having an amniocentesis performed. The person responsible for receiving the amniotic fluid at the time of collection must either contact the OSU Human Identity Testing laboratory at 1-800-299-7919 or contact the blood draw facility responsible for putting the samples together. This contact is necessary to insure that the person receiving the amniotic fluid at the time of collection will have all the necessary paperwork and instructions on hand, and that this person understands how to complete our paperwork.
We can test uncultured amniotic fluid, CVS samples, or cultured cells. Although failures with uncultured fluid or CVS are infrequent, we do not have the facilities to culture these samples.

All payments are expected in full at the time of sample collection. We accept cash, cashier’s checks, or money orders made out to Oklahoma State University Human Identity testing laboratory. Visa and Mastercard are also accepted. In pre-approved situations we often accept the blood draw facility’s business check.
Fees associated with sample collection outside of our facility are the responsibility of the client and the collection facility unless previously arranged.
