Web Design

OSU Marketing and Communications Services in Tulsa is responsible for the OSU Center for Health Sciences website and CenterNet, the internal site for faculty, staff and students. The sites are offered as a service and resource to advance awareness of our agency to outside constituencies and to provide a method for sharing information among internal audiences.

The web coordinator is responsible for website design and content, ensuring our web presence meets university logo use and branding standards. Marketing and Communications Services in Tulsa works in cooperation with information technology to ensure the sites run smoothly and to employ new technology as needed. Various internal subject-matter experts are responsible for contributing to the site’s content. Marketing and Communications Services has final approval of all content and design.

Edits to Existing Web Pages

Content owners – our internal subject-matter experts – are responsible for ensuring the information provided on the OSU CHS sites is accurate and relevant. To update an existing page, please provide a detailed description of changes required and the link to each page that requires edits. Submit change requests in writing with your marketing services request. Update times depend on the number of requests in the queue. For best results, please include the URL of the page needing the edit and the date needed by. You can check with the web coordinator for an estimate of time required to complete a job.

Development of New Web Pages

If you need to add a page or information to the OSU CHS sites, submit a request. Include the requesting department’s name, a primary contact, type of information to be provided and suggested location (for example, to which existing page should this information link). The web manager may need to schedule a meeting with you to gather more details about your request.

Development of new pages and features depends on the number of jobs in the queue and the complexity of the project.

Our Ongoing Vision

Every department in every area working with Marketing and Communications Services to fully communicate their information to their audiences clearly, accurately and effectively.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How many websites we have at OSU-CHS?
OSU-CHS has two websites. CHS, is our external website. It serves prospective and current students, patients, donors, alumni, the media and the general public. This is where people searching for information about OSU Center for Health Sciences will usually land. CenterNet is our internal intranet site. That one is often used by faculty, staff and students for everything from forms to phone lists and beyond. Much, but not all, of it is password protected.
  2. Where my departmental page is on the web?
If you need help finding your department's page on the OSU in Tulsa web network, the fastest way to look is either on the drop-down menu on the main page, or by using the search box located at the foot of each web page. If you still need assistance, don't hesitate to email the web coordinator.
  3. How do I keep my department's information up to date?
There is only one way to find out - go to your area and read the information. Any time you have a change or update, it is important that you let us know. Please review the policy and procedures above.
  4. Who is responsible for keeping that information up-to-date?
If you don’t know the answer to this one, your department needs to discuss it. Each department should have one designated person, maybe an administrative assistant, maybe a professor. Whoever it is, that person should be responsible for sending changes and checking information on your area. Marketing and Communications Services does its best to stay abreast of announcements and personnel changes, but individual departments are always the best source for accurate information. Submit a request  to request changes or to set up a meeting to discuss your individual department's needs.
  5. Who do I contact if I can't find information on the website or if I find a broken link or incorrect information?
If you need to update, need help with organizing and updating information and menus, or just can’t find something, don't hesitate to contact the web coordinator. To report broken links or other problems email the web manager.
  6. Who do I contact if I need help with my computer or email?
If you want help with computers, phones, email or something other than information on our website, please contact the Tulsa help desk.
