CLINICAL SKILLS are picked
up in a rush and perfected over a
lifetime. We're actors learning a
new role in a foreign tongue. We
rotely memorize our lines, contort
ourselves into unnatural postures,
fumble with strange and
unwieldly props-all while trying
to find our motivation. But
gradually, with each successive
rehearsal, we start to feel things
gel, until it seems we can perform
our roles in our sleep. Hot
bloodedly , we look forward
to
making our debut in the real
theatre of clinical combat.
