OSU Medicine open house invites college students to explore medical careers
College students considering a career in medicine can learn about programs offered by the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences' College of Osteopathic Medicine at a special open house on Friday, Feb. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Med-Xtravaganza offers student the opportunity to meet with faculty and admissions staff, interact one-on-one with current OSU medical students, get information on admission criteria, tour campus facilities, participate in hands-on laboratory demonstrations and learn more about osteopathic medicine.
"For college students who are considering a career in medicine, our open house is a great opportunity for them to see the osteopathic medicine program at OSU," said Maghin Abernathy, admissions and recruitment coordinator at OSU-CHS. "During the day, students and their guests will get to see what it's like to be a physician by participating in demonstrations with our medical students and learn about different career paths available in the medical field."
