Davis named director of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program
Randall L. Davis, Ph.D., has been selected as the director of the School of Biomedical Sciences at OSU Center for Health Sciences, according to Bruce Benjamin, Ph.D., interim vice provost for graduate programs. Davis had been serving as the interim director for the graduate program since 2012.
Davis, who also serves as an associate professor of pharmacology, earned his bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences and master's degree in zoology from OSU. He earned his Ph.D. in nutrition from Texas Tech University in 1998 and then served as a post-doctoral researcher associate at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center until joining the faculty at OSU-CHS.
In addition to his administrative and teaching duties, Davis also conducts research neuroinflammation, attempting to get a better understanding of neuroimmune signaling in central nervous system disorders such as Parkinson's disease, HIV dementia and autism.
