President Barnett honored for philanthropy, leadership
The Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits honored longtime Tulsa philanthropist and nonprofit leader Howard G. Barnett, Jr., president of OSU-Tulsa and OSU Center for Health Sciences, at a reception at the Philbrook Museum of Art on March 12.
Barnett will soon begin his second year as the chairman of the board for the National Council of Nonprofits, a Washington, D.C.-based agency providing advocacy and policy guidance to state nonprofit associations and nonprofit organizations in communities throughout the country.
Barnett was joined by National Council President and CEO Tim Delaney and hosted Delaney at advocacy events for nonprofits in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Delaney praised Barnett's local, statewide and national leadership in nonprofit advocacy at the reception.
