OSU Medicine open house invites high school students to explore medical careers
High school students considering a career in medicine can learn about programs offered by the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine at a special open house on Saturday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Med-Xtravaganza offers students the opportunity to meet with faculty and admissions staff, interact one-on-one with current OSU medical students, get information on admission criteria, tour campus facilities, participate in hands-on laboratory demonstrations and learn more about osteopathic medicine.
"For high school students who are considering a career in medicine, our open house is a great opportunity for them to see the osteopathic medicine program at OSU," said Maghin Abernathy, admissions and recruitment coordinator at OSU-CHS. "During the day, students will get to see what it's like to be a physician by participating in demonstrations with our medical students and learn about different specialties available for physicians."
To reserve a spot at the open house, call 918-561-8469 or visit the Med-Xtravaganza registration website. The deadline to RSVP is April 12. For more information, contact Maghin Abernathy at 918-561-8277 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
