RedFork Main Street recognizes OSU-CHS with community partner award
RedFork Main Street honored OSU Center for Health Sciences with the Community Partner Award during their annual awards luncheon on March 15. OSU-CHS, one of the largest organizations in the RedFork area, was honored for supporting community events with health screenings and information.
Howard Barnett, president of OSU-Tulsa and OSU Center for Health Sciences, served as the featured speaker for event. Bria Taylor, community relations and events manager in the Office of Research and Institutional Advancement, serves on the RedFork Main Street Board of Directors. Barnett, Taylor and former board member Ryan Miller, director of the OSU-CHS Alumni Association, accepted the award on behalf of the university.
RedFork Main Street is a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing the Southwest Boulevard Corridor, better known as Route 66, in southwest Tulsa. This was the first year the Community Partner Award was presented.
