OSU in Tulsa launches sustainable office certification program

Going Green

In an effort to recognize departmental efforts to embrace energy conservation and stewardship of resources, OSU in Tulsa will introduce a new office certification program at a special event on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Barson Building Fourth Floor Board Room.

Sustainability U provides faculty and staff with the tools and framework to operate an office environment that is productive while also promoting sustainable office practices and good stewardship of resources.

The program will focus on energy conservation, recycling, purchasing energy efficient equipment, enhancing office operations to use fewer resources and developing an office culture committed to sustainability efforts.

Departments that complete the program and meet requirements can apply for Sustainability U certification. For more information about the program, attend the launch event, visit the Sustainability U website or contact Angelyn Holmes, OSU in Tulsa energy education manager.
