Thompson, Castle named OSU in Tulsa United Way Campaign co-chairs
Karen Castle, left, and Dan Thompson have been selected as the OSU in Tulsa United Way Campaign co-chairs.
Dan Thompson, coordinator of instructional design, assessment and educational technology at OSU-CHS, and Karen Castle, OSU-Tulsa President’s Office executive assistant, were recently selected to be co-chairs of the OSU in Tulsa United Way Campaign. OSU Center for Health Sciences and OSU-Tulsa have set a joint-goal of raising $60,000 for 2014.
Thompson, Castle and a committee of volunteers will organize events, contests and other activities as part of the annual campaign. Donations support the Tulsa Area United Way and its 61 partner agencies, which serve nearly 550,000 people in a six-county area. More information will be announced as planning gets underway.
In addition to the campaign, OSU in Tulsa will be participating in the Tulsa Area United Way Day of Caring on Friday, Sept. 5. Volunteers will be working on projects at Eugene Field Elementary School and lunch will be provided. To sign up for Day of Caring, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
