OSU-CHS to host live stream of TEDMED conference
TEDMED, the health and medicine branch of the TED movement, will live stream the 2014 conference from Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, Calif., to OSU-CHS on Sept. 10-12 in D107.
More than 80 speakers working in a variety of industries around the globe will be featured at the conference, “Unlocking Imagination in Service of Health and Medicine.” Several of the featured speakers include Lt. Gen. Patricia Horoho, the first woman and first nurse to serve as U.S. Army Surgeon General, Abraham Verghese, provostial professor and vice chair for the theory and practice of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, Carl Hart, associate professor of psychiatry and psychology at Columbia University, and Nadine Burke Harris, founding physician at the Bayview Child Health Center.
The event is divided into three sessions per day, each lasting approximately 90 minutes. Sessions begin at 8 a.m., noon and 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, 7:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 7 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 12.
