Scrub Run to benefit childhood cancer
The annual 36th annual Scrub Run to raise money for childhood cancer research will be April 25.
The yearly event is hosted by OSU-COM and will feature a 5K and one-mile fun run. All proceeds from the run will support the St. Baldrick’s National Foundation for childhood cancer research. The 5K run will begin at 9 a.m. and the fun run at 9:05 a.m. Scrubs are not required, but are encouraged. Children’s activities, a free health fair and a raffle will begin at 10 a.m.
An awards ceremony is set for 10 a.m. and will be given to the top runner in each age group, the top overall male and female runners, the top three runners in the fun run and the “Fastest Scrubs.” Registered runners will receive a free T-shirt. Early registration is $25 for the 5K and $15 for the fun run. After Sunday, the cost is $30 for the 5K and $15 for the fun run. Registration is available online.
