‘Three Minute Thesis’ preliminary competition set for March 27
OSU-CHS students will vie to represent the campus at the 2015 OSU Three Minute Thesis Competition during a preliminary contest at noon on Friday, March 27 in D-107.
Master’s and doctoral student contestants must give a compelling pitch for their thesis in three minutes using only one PowerPoint slide. The contest is aimed at developing students’ skills in relaying their research and its relevance in a cogent but concise manner.
A five-person judging panel will select a first, second and third place winner. Audience members will vote for the “People’s Choice” award and a free lunch will be provided for the first 50 ballots turned in when the competition ends. The first-place winner will win $200, second place wins $150 and third place wins $100. The “People’s Choice” winner gets $200. The first-place winner will compete against other OSU students in the finals at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 in the Little Union Theater in the OSU-Stillwater Student Union.
