OSU-COM hosted a Mini-Med School for Kids on Wednesday for about 20 area children with the goal of sparking their interest in science.

The children, who are members of a homeschool organization, participated in four interactive stations, including anatomy, nutrition, science experiment and an outdoor station. During the event, children learned about human anatomy, made healthy snacks, conducted a science experiment and participated in fitness activities.

The Mini-Med School was sponsored by the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians Club. The group will host another mini-med school for Eugene Field Elementary fourth-graders on May 6. Eugene Field is OSU-CHS’ Partner in Education school.
