Emergency medicine CME to focus on improving patient care
The 18th Annual Emergency Medicine Review will be June 5-7 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tulsa – Warren Place and will feature lectures on pediatric strokes and noninvasive ventilation. Other lecture topics include post-exposure prophylaxis, pediatric asthma and bronchiolitis, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) and ear, nose and throat emergencies.
Proper prescribing lectures are scheduled June 5-6 at 4:30 p.m. Friday’s lecture is “When Thugs Want Drugs.” The Saturday lecture will focus on proper prescribing of opiates for non-malignant pain.
The conference, hosted by the OSU-CHS Office of Continuing Medical Education, is aimed at improving patient care in the emergency department and private office settings. A discount for early registration is available through May 22. The conference is open to emergency care providers, health care professionals, fellows, residents, interns and students.
