About 20 high school students from across Oklahoma completed their six-week summer research internships by making a presentation of their work before their peers, faculty and graduate students.

High school juniors and seniors who participated in the 2015 Oklahoma Science and Training and Research Students program, or OKstars and Native OKstars, were matched earlier this summer with a faculty mentor and research team to conduct scientific studies in biology, anatomy, forensics and other disciplines.

Students came from several area districts, including Bartlesville, Grove, Union, Jenks, Owasso, Bishop Kelley, Holland Hall, Edmond's Deer Creek, Oklahoma City’s Casady, Henryetta and more. The program is geared to spark high school students’ interest in pursuing a career in science.
