Larry W. Anderson, D.O., president of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, will speak at noon on Wednesday in D-107 about the specialty of family medicine. The OSU-CHS student chapter of ACOFP is hosting the event.
Anderson is an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Georgia Campus – Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and has a private practice in Dawsonville, Georgia. He is board certified in osteopathic family medicine and was a reviewer for the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners and the Georgia Medical Care Foundation.
He is active in professional associations at the state and national levels and has served as a delegate to the ACOFP Congress of Delegates from the Georgia Society of ACOFP. Prior to joining the ACOFP Board of Governors, Anderson served on several committees and on the Executive Council of the Conclave of Fellows. He was designated a Fellow of ACOFP in 1983 and was named a Distinguished Fellow in 2004.
