$10 million - Scholarships

Scholarships open opportunities for Oklahoma’s finest to consider a career in medicine without the hindrance of their own financial limitations.  With 90 percent of OSU-CHS students receiving financial aid, the need for scholarships and fellowships is great.  Whether creating an endowed scholarship at $25,000 or an annual scholarship at any amount, you can help shape the future of healthcare.

$10 million - Endowed Faculty Positions

While OSU-CHS is already home to some of the nation’s most elite faculty, the key to attracting and retaining the best lies in the prestige attached to endowed chairs and professorships.  Beyond bringing in new faculty members, these positions create the opportunity for advanced instruction and research that increases a faculty member’s stature within their profession.  A gift of $250,000 can create a professorship and $500,000 will establish an endowed faculty chair.

$5 million (stretch goal) - Center for Biomedical Research

OSU-CHS will take a major step toward enhancing its role as a true academic health center by addressing the needs of its research scientists in a new Center for Biomedical Research.  On Feb. 20, 2010, OSU-CHS broke ground on this five-floor, 125,000 square foot building scheduled for completion in September 2010.  The Tulsa Police Department Forensic Laboratory will occupy the bottom two floors of the building, while OSU-CHS will use the top three floors.  Institutional funds are committed to construction, but another $5 million in private funding is needed to complete the project.
