Programs | Community Support

Oklahoma AHEC, in collaboration with state and community partners, engages in a number of activities to support practicing health professionals and rural and underserved communities.

Through a variety of advocacy and training activities, AHEC promotes public health principles, community development, and provides local educational programs to address the challenges of rural and underserved populations.

Continuing Health Professional Education
In FY 2003-2004, OKAHEC offered 177 programs to 7,871 health professional for 35,777 hours of continuing education.

Consumer Education
In FY 2003-2004, OKAHEC offered 204 programs to 12,654 community members for 24,504 hours of education.
