OCHEC Clinic

The OSU Community Health and Education Center (OCHEC) houses the OSU Physicians at Country Club Garden clinic. It provides clinical training to a variety of health professional students and access to health care services for low income families in North Tulsa. A nurse educator coordinates the OCHEC clinic. It currently has two physicians on duty providing family and pediatric care.

OCHEC provides students with an understanding of:

• Community-based primary care
• Community medicine
• Patient/provider interaction
• The role of nurses and other health professionals
• Patient advocacy
• Community relationships
