Sorvall MT-6000 Thick Sections 0.5-2.0 um in thickness. Stain with general stains - Mallory's Azure II Methylene Blue or Toluidine Blue. Used to screen tissue, and select area to be viewed at EM level. |

Leica Ultracut E All three microtomes are utilized in the sectioning of tissue embedded in resin. All can be used in thick and/or thin sectioning. |
Confocal Microscope The Leica TCS SPE confocal microscope system designed for confocal recording (laser scanning images) of fluorescence-marked living and fixed specimens as well as for quantitative measurements. The TCS SPE is equipped with long-lasting solid-state lasers with emission wavelengths of 488 nm, 532 nm and 635 nm. It is equipped with the new LAS AF software. |
