Entrance Counseling
Before receiving your first Federal Student Loan, the federal government requires you to participate in Entrance Counseling.
The purpose of Entrance Counseling is to educate you about student loans so that you will be a well-informed borrower.
Entrance Counseling covers such topics as:
- interest rates
- repayment options
- your rights and responsibilities
- the consequences of default
All first-time Federal Student Loan borrowers need to complete Entrance Counseling on the web (Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher is required). The financial aid office will be notified when the test has been completed.
