John D. Sears, D.O., Award of Compassion Fund

This scholarship was established in 2003 in memory of John D. Sears, D.O., this Fund honors the late Dr. Sears’ contributions to osteopathic medicine and is intended to perpetuate his caring and compassionate approach to the practice of medicine, and commitment to furthering the profession.

Requirements

• Deadline February 29
• Applicant is a full-time osteopathic medical student
• Recipient will demonstrate academic achievement and clinical competency
• Demonstrated commitment and dedication to the osteopathic profession
• Selfless acts beyond basic expectations of the medical professional
• Preference will be given to a student consistently involved in service to others
• Recipient required to attend Benefactors’ Luncheon and any additional activities as appropriate
