William G. Anderson, D.O. Scholarship for Minority Students

This scholarship was established in 1998 to honor the distinguished professional and public career of Dr. Anderson and highlights his life-long commitment to civil rights and osteopathic medicine.

American Osteopathic Foundation offers this scholarship to students directly through CHS Scholarship and Awards Program with final recommendations to AOF by Scholarship Selection Committee. Recipients required to attend Scholarship Shootout, Benefactors' Luncheon, and any additional activities as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Deadline February 29
  • www.osteopathic.org
  • Honors an outstanding minority medical student. For the purpose of this scholarship, a minority is defined as one of African American, Native American, Asian/Pacific, or of Hispanic ethnic origin
  • Entering second, third or fourth year of medical school in the upcoming academic year
  • Demonstrated both academic achievement and outstanding leadership qualities
  • One scholarship presented to recipient during the AOF Honors Ceremony at the AOA Annual Convention and Scientific Seminar.
