The OSU Telemedicine Center is capable of transmitting voice, video, text, data and images anywhere in the world. The Center utilizes various digital networks for bandwidth. The Center's local area network, and connections to OneNet provide 100mbs bandwidth. This allows maximum bandwidth to support local video and sufficient bandwidth to accomodate interactive multi-casts to/from multiple locations.

OneNet logo The OneNet Network is Oklahoma's public digital network that serves education, government and healthcare institutions.


Abilene logoThe Abilene/Internet 2 networks are very highInternet 2 logo speed backbones restricted solely to higher education research institutions. OneNet is one of 25 major connecting points for Abilene/Internet 2. This allows the OSU Telemedicine Center direct access to Internet 2 capabilities.
